James Langford (jamesl) > A nice tower started forming to our West. We bailed on this storm a few minutes after this picture, and it later went on to become tornado warned.
James Langford (jamesl) > we stopped just south of Turner Falls and watch the updrafts start to get organized. A few other chasers were there as well.
James Langford (jamesl) > Nice double rainbow, with the Kingfisher storm in the background. We were just north of El Reno.
James Langford (jamesl) > Another view looking to the West of all of the disorganized and starving cells trying to go up. They sure made for nice pictures.
James Langford (jamesl) > Nice horseshoe shape now due to the RFD.
James Langford (jamesl) > Same storm as before, but you can start to see a nice RFD notch coming around. This would eventually tear the storm apart.
James Langford (jamesl) > We were sandwhiched between a couple of strengthening cells here, and only had a few minutes to shoot. Managed to get this one bolt, looking to the north.
James Langford (jamesl) > This was shot looking West towards the setting sun. There was a whole mess of small LP storms struggling to sustain an organized updraft. The LP in the middle here had a nice base and meso for a while, but eventually faded away.
James Langford (jamesl) > A shot towards the East from Durant. The clouds were amazing, and were very turbulent.
